Antonio Conte in Internazionale transfer struggle

Having been backed both in salary and in transfer fees better than any Internazionale coach in history, Antonio Conte has raised eyebrows by asking for more. Having seen record investment since his arrival at the club, Inter have backed their coach to the hilt. Now, though, it appears that Conte wants to return to his old stomping ground, the Premier League, for even more signings.

Seeing Juventus as too aggressive and powerful to outplay, it looks like Conte wishes to build an aggressive side with power. However, too many older signings at great expensive from the English league has left Inter uncertain about backing Conte further. One name being heavily linked with Inter is 29-year-old former Conte player N’Golo Kante.

The Frenchman is well respected in the game, and is seen as one of the best holding midfielders in the world. However, he lacks a clear position at Chelsea under Frank Lampard and could be sold on to make space for a new signing. However, with Conte struggling to make Inter see eye-to-eye on his most expensive transfer demands, it might be hard for the Italian coach to get what he wants.

Inter have been backing Conte to the hilt since his arrival, including expensive January arrivals of Christian Eriksen and Ashley Young. With Eriksen already being linked with a move away, though, concerns exist over how quickly Conte is disregarding players who have cost large sums of money and were specifically requested.
